Cookie Notice

Effective date: April 2026

This notice explains what cookies masry.page uses, why they are used, and how you can manage them. The short version: I use only two cookies, both strictly necessary, and there are no analytics or tracking cookies on this site.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They help websites remember information between page visits. Some cookies are essential for a site to function; others are used for analytics, advertising, or personalisation.

Cookies this site uses

masry.page uses only strictly necessary cookies. These are required for core site functionality and cannot be disabled without breaking the authentication system. Because they are strictly necessary, no consent banner is required under UK privacy law.

Cookie namePurposeTypeDuration
authjs.session-tokenMaintains your authenticated session so you stay signed in as you navigate between pagesStrictly necessary30 days
authjs.csrf-tokenProtects against cross-site request forgery attacks when you submit forms or sign inStrictly necessarySession (cleared when you close your browser)

What this site does not use

masry.page does not use:

  • Analytics cookies— no Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar tracking
  • Advertising cookies— no ad networks, retargeting pixels, or conversion tracking
  • Social media cookies— no embedded social widgets that set cookies
  • Personalisation cookies— no A/B testing or behavioural profiling

If this ever changes — for example, if I add privacy-friendly analytics in the future — I will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent before setting any new cookies.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to do it in the most common browsers:

  • Chrome:Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari:Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge:Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Note that blocking the strictly necessary cookies listed above will prevent you from signing in to your account and accessing gated content. The rest of the site will continue to work normally.
